Zumba At SF Carnival
with Lisa Saunders
Classes will be offered on Sundays, May 5th, 12th and 19th 1:00-2:30pm
Actual Carnival will be May 26th.
Members: $70 (Early bird registration before 4/16 OR $80 after 4/16)
Non-Members: $80 (Early bird registration before 4/16 OR $85 after 4/16)
Carnival Registration: $30/person
(Registration fee includes costume, easy choreography workshop and the best cardio workout you’ll have all year).
Class is open to all levels. Learn the foundation steps and history of this beautiful dance form.
Join The Club at The Claremont’s very own Lisa Saunders and ZUMBA Fitness groups from all around Northern California and walk, drum or dance to the beat in the SF Carnival 2013 Parade. We are offering a series of 3 classes to learn the steps that most of you are already familiar from dance class and apply them for the parade.

About the Instructor
Lisa Saunders is co-founder/executive director of Ethnic Arts Institute. She is educated in Hawaiian music and dance by renowned kumu hulas George Naope and Loke Thomas, Ghanaian music and dance by Professor C.K. Ladzekpo, (University of California, Berkeley) and holds an M.A. (h.c.) in ethnic dance from the Jesus’ Name University.
Lisa has enjoyed a careers in the arts which spans more than 30 years beginning with her performance career which includes five years as an associate-principle artist and founding member of the “African Music and Dance Ensemble”, and three years as co-founder/principle artist with “Batucaje!” Afro-Brazilian Dance Company.
As a member of the UNESCO International Dance Council, K-12 educator and private school administrator, Lisa brings to bear her arts background and experience in creating her own effective technique for multicultural arts instruction.
